    • SEZ units in Noida SEZ or Okhla Phase II need LUT filing right after GSTIN.
    • If you operate from a residence in DDA colonies, add an NOC on ₹100 stamp paper along with the electricity bill.

GST office in Delhi: CGST vs State GST

Every GSTIN in Delhi is allotted either to the central authority (CGST Delhi Zone (Delhi North, South, East, West, Central), under CBIC) or to the state authority (Department of Trade and Taxes, Government of NCT of Delhi). The split is decided automatically at registration; you do not choose it. Your allotted jurisdiction appears on the GST REG-06 certificate under "Centre Jurisdiction" and "State Jurisdiction". Clarification notices (REG-03) and physical verification are handled by whichever authority your GSTIN is allotted to.

    Delhi GST state code: 07

Every GSTIN issued in Delhi (NCT) starts with the state code 07, followed by your 10-character PAN, an entity number, the letter Z and a check digit. Example format: 07ABCDE1234F1Z5. If your business has branches in other states, each state needs its own GSTIN with that state's code.

Do you need to visit a GST office in Delhi?

No. GST registration is filed online on gst.gov.in. A visit is needed only if Aadhaar authentication is not opted for and biometric verification is triggered at a GST Suvidha Kendra, or if the officer orders physical verification of your Delhi premises. With Aadhaar e-KYC, most applications are approved without any visit.

What a GST consultant in Delhi does for you

A GST consultant checks your business structure and turnover, picks the right registration type (regular or composition), prepares address and constitution proofs that Delhi officers accept, files REG-01, replies to REG-03 queries within the 7-day window, and sets up your first GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B. Taxpex does all of this online with a CA reviewing every application.
