Class 25 is the fashion class and one of the top three most-filed classes in India. It covers all clothing, footwear and headgear for men, women, children and infants. Retail selling of clothes is a service and needs Class 35 in addition.
What Class 25 covers
India follows the NICE Classification (11th edition) — 45 classes in total, 34 for goods and 11 for services. Class 25 sits in the goods group. Your trademark is only protected for the goods or services listed in the class you file, which is why picking Class 25 correctly matters more than the logo itself.
